Maureen P. Taylor is an associate in the Louisville, Kentucky office, but maintains licenses in both Kentucky and Ohio. She has been admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, as well as the Southern District of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Maureen earned a B.A. in English magna cum laude from the University of Michigan—Flint College, an M.A. in English literature from Michigan State University, and an Ed.D. in educational leadership (college administration) from Western Michigan University. Subsequently, she graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1989.

Maureen has published numerous articles, primarily related to construction law. She was the founding editor of ohioconstructionlaw.com, a monthly electronic newsletter now known as Brickerconstructionlaw.com, and oversaw that publication for over seven years before returning to Louisville in 2007. From 2002 through 2007, she also wrote a regular column, “The Courts Have Spoken,” for The Owner’s Perspective, the official publication of the Construction Owners Association of America, Inc. Before becoming an attorney, Maureen taught writing in various Michigan colleges and published a writing textbook, Writing To Communicate: A Rhetoric, Reader and Handbook for College Writers (Wadsworth, 1983).

Maureen’s practice focuses on fidelity and surety law, construction law, and appellate advocacy. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Louisville Bar Association, and has served on Bar committees for her primary interests (construction law, appellate advocacy, and professionalism) at both state and local levels.
